According to the Small Business Association, PPP loans are given to small business owners to ensure they are able to retain their employees and cover costs incurred by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. These loans are available to independent contractors and freelance workers, which technically includes reality stars and influencers, who list their work as freelance artists, writers, and performers.
Recently, detectives on The single person subReddit has discovered that several Bachelor Nation reality stars have applied for or received P3 loans of at least $ 10,000. E! News independently confirmed by this information by reviewing online databases from ProPublica and FederalPay.org.
In January, Tayshia, who currently co-hosts Katie thurstonthe season of The bachelorette, received a loan of $ 20,833 through LLC Tayshia Adams Media. In a statement to E! News, the representative for the Newport Beach resident explained, “As a business owner, television and podcast host, and brand ambassador, Tayshia secured a PPP loan which allowed her to hire an employee (a person who was previously unemployed), to whom it offers a market- pay and benefits. ”
