What immediate actions can city council take to help tackle the violent crime happening in Atlanta?
• Address recruitment, retention and public safety morale so that we can establish a sufficiently staffed service.
• Invest in technology (video cameras, sensors, etc.) to help solve crimes
• Expand arrest diversion strategies to help address the underlying causes leading to
criminal acts
• Commit to funding training reform to rebuild the relationship between the law
law enforcement and citizens and strengthen community engagement in the fight
criminality
• Support awareness campaigns to reduce the number of stolen weapons
cars

Are you going to make affordable housing a priority in your tenure on council, and what steps do you need to take to ensure that the goal of 20,000 affordable housing units by 2026 is met?
Yes.
• Ensure a sustainable source of funding to invest in the construction and preservation of a
units, as well as helping residents stay in their homes
• Identify city-owned land to contribute to affordable housing developments
• Aggressively pursue and compete for housing tax credit projects
• Continue to demand and monitor affordable unit requirements when a
funds are provided in a project
• Explore strategic inclusion zoning applications, if applicable

Will transit on the Atlanta BeltLine corridor be a top priority and how will you work to speed it up?
Yes.
• Encourage stakeholders (city, state, federal) to accelerate the influence of BeltLine
the acquisition, both in the northwest section of the BeltLine and the various “pinches”
points’ along the corridors
• Engage MARTA to review the current list of proposed projects and the delivery schedule
• Review and appoint members of the MARTA Board of Directors for the City of Atlanta who share this priority.
• Leverage the relationships of our city leaders and US senators to secure the gap
federal government funding

What can the council do as a priority to fight against climate change?
• Continue to aggressively pursue the milestones set out in the city’s 100% clean energy plan and adequately fund support initiatives
• Prioritize the expansion of facilities that support alternative modes of transportation (cycle paths, pedestrian options, public transit, etc.)
• Increase investment in education and programs around recycling and green spaces, including tree canopy protection

What three issues specifically affecting your district that you plan to address while on council?
• Reform and strengthen public security and reduce crime
• Improve the infrastructure of our city (recover the Renew Atlanta and TSPLOST projects
on the right track !)
• Improve the delivery of basic basic urban services
